..effects of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

Months had past that even in radio stations, there are a lot of bombings – almost a war heard and casted which happened in some part of Mindanao, Philippines. Many were disturbed – living, education, farming, and a lot more, due to frequent exchanging of gun shots. People, Christians or Muslims, living in the nearby areas just evacuated in the most nearest safe place they could look for – which also has a supplementary food for them. Children stopped attending to school. Farmers almost to use their own domesticated animals for food and the thought that there farm or land had already been damaged and disturbed.

A lot of people asked then why this happened?

Puzzling, isn’t it? Because, think of it, these people who are involved in the said war are all Filipinos. Filipinos? Yes. We’re used to be brothers and sisters yet we’re just the one doing such fearful events in our own supposed to be safe place – Philippines. And one more, Mindanao is used to be a very good place to stay in because of its boutiful greeny environment. However, because of those unforgetable traumatic events happened, even a one-year old child fears anybody who is just holding guns. In some instances, a lot of children, in as early as 3 years old, already knew how to use gunsa, armalites, bombs, etc. Whaaaaat?

What do you think the main reason of these?

It’s all because of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA).

Clearly, RESPECT and only RESPECT is needed. Not all of the people living in Mindanao are Muslim nor Christians and not all the native mindanaoans are so. Thus, THE RIGHTS of every group must be respected.

Hmp?!?! Now that there is already a clear idea of the memorandum, everybody must, hopefully, be reminded of what we had experienced – the Mindanao War.
