Mayon Volcano and the Cagsaua Church, Albay

Another spot a must visit in Bicol Region is the stunning beauty of Mt. Mayon. Though, along the highway upon arriving Legazpi City, one could easily have a look of Mt. Mayon, it’s better to step on it’s foot near the Cagsaua Church.

Mt. Mayon is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines. It is known as having the perfect cone because of it’s symmetrically conical shape wherever you see it. As experienced, since we really tour on the different towns circling the volcano, indeed, perfect as it is.

The Cagsaua church is one of the landmarks when talking about the foot of the volcano. But the only part of the church left is the church’s tower after the volcano has erupted in 1814. Up until now, the tower is still alive and kicking, well preserved.

In the back is the church’s tower; far behind is the stunning beauty of Mt. Mayon.
